In this portfolio I have chosen to show the variety of work that I have undertaken throughout my Art and Design BTEC Extended Diploma Course. This course has offered me the opportunity of working in a diverse range of disciplines, from fine art, print and sculpture, to more digital design and textile projects. In my work I have shown a range of skills and abilities whilst working with different media.  I have really enjoyed working on projects that are very different, new and fresh and that stretch my abilities so that they are continuously challenged. This is how I have discovered new skills.

I find the idea of studying on the Fashion BA (Hons) course really exciting. The course really interests me as I have a genuine interest in fashion, I would love the opportunity to develop and refine my skills whilst studying on this course.

I have previously had an insight and experienced what it would be like on a fashion course when I took part in a Fashion Futures course/competition. I had to construct a garment  inspired by the jewellery, glass and ceramics observed whilst visiting the V&A . The subsequent workshops took place at Salford University, and I was fortunate enough to get through and attend the summer school in London where I designed and made my outfit. I found the course challenging however, I discovered a great passion, understanding and interest for it.

I know that fashion is what I want to continue with in the future therefore I think this course would be the right place to start on developing my knowledge and enhancing my skills.
